Dão Region

Dão is one of the oldest established wine regions of Portugal, located just south of the famous Douro Valley. The Dão viticultural region is in the north of the country taking its name from the Dão river, along which the majority of the region’s vineyards are located.

Dão has always been famous for the production of table wines with a very particular profile: noble, elegant wines, good choices to accompany various gastronomic creations, with high aging potential and even with some similarities with the prestigious French region of Burgundy.
